Mekong Delta 1 Day

Take a breather from the crazed commercial centre of Vietnam and pay a visit to the agricultural heart of the country; a region often referred to as the lifeblood of Vietnam. Breeze past paddy fields, orchards and sugar cane plantations as you float away through where the ancient and mighty Mekong calms and sustains the lives of millions. My Tho is a two hour drive from Saigon, here you will board a private boat for your day tour of the Mekong Delta. During the tour you will visit a number of small cottage industries and sample the fresh seasonal tropical fruits such as longan, jackfruit, sapodilla and coconut. You will journey by boat on wide and narrow tributaries and be transferred from the larger boat to a small sampan to be rowed peacefully amongst the water coconuts. A delicious lunch of local specialties including the famous elephant ear fish will be served to complete your day of adventure.

Hanoi Bicycle Tour 1/2 Day

You will be met at your hotel by our guide and transferred across the Red River to collect the bicycles. After riding through the narrow streets we board a little ferry, along with the locals and their bicycles and motorbikes laden with produce and goods, and cross the river to the farmland. The scenery in the rice paddies will vary depending upon the season. The route takes us along a little narrow path through the rice paddies where you can stop to take photos of the paddies, farmers and buffalos. There will be an opportunity to sample some local street delicacies from a passing vendor, perhaps a steamed bun, sticky rice, fresh coconut or sugar cane juice. Or you may like to sample the local beer at a street side bia hoi.
